Ode To HalloweenHere it is, that time of year. Where business push, Christmas cheer.Ode To Halloween by Vawkis
It angers me, causes my blood to boil, the thought of such things causes my emotions to embroil.
Tis not fair, to the great Hallows eve. Because of this plastic cheer, that business's conceive.
I care not for Santa, or his inflatable Reindeer. I despise snow and fake glittery cheer.
Businesses can't seem to get it through their heads.
That cometh October, is the festival of dreads!
Fear is a gift, one that's rather giving.
A sweet little reminder, that we are the living.
The veil between the gray, is tattered and torn
Passing through the veil, they bring bad luck and scorn.
Arrive demons, and devils. That amass in swarm.
Tis our duty to scare them! Return them from whence they came.
And they're not scared at all. Seems this "Christmas" is to blame.
So, I resist. The glitter, the Red White and Green, I choose to use colors that are far more obscene.
Butterfly Princesses and Ninja's in green. And cute little fuzzy
Ode to the Nightmare. It seems an odd reason to be thankful, to wake up from sleep screaming. Though the cause for such act, is caused by Nightmarish dreaming. To rouse from your covers, with body cold and a quiver. From dark visions that now have past, that causes you to shiver. Tis a thankless jobs a Nightmare has, For no one understands their cause. So I write this poem now, to ask you for a moments pause. The chilling fears, the ghoulish jeers, the unspeakable horrors and dread. A lesson learned, one that shouldn't be spurned. Those fears are all in your head. This lesson though is not complete, a gift also granted as well. One often missed, for fears reminisced. Your ignorance now dispelled.Ode to the Nightmare. by Vawkis
The blessing, though hidden. As you rise from you covers quaking. As you sit back and thank the fates. You're now in reality waking. So much ill and evil in our world. A Nightmare's job is just. Because of them, you wake up and see life a little more robust. So now comes the time to reflect, and with a little humbl
Not much about me, a burnt out Army veteran, who's only done two tours in Iraq and lost more friends and family in my second decade of life. Then I think is kharmicly fair.
Out of the military, I'm a classic-methods trained cook. While unemployed at the moment. It does have alot of open windows for me as far as employment. From a struggling 2.0 gpa to a 3.89 for a college. I'd say it was a vast improvement. An my instructors put in a good word for me. I'm also a certified massage therapist (Little good this does me) as it turns out my gender is used against me. People are more comfortable getting a massage from a female then male
As for my tastes? I'm into the unique, the clever, the cute or inspiring. I know what I like, And I'm more then happy to try to see things from your point of view, as it broadens mine.
So if you're watched by me, it means something about your art interests me. Your use of color, your character design, or your twisted sense of humor. A good laugh to me, is worth alot. I feel comedians are unsung hero's As are artists. They say there's a face that can launch 100 ships? How bout an art piece that inspires a 100 ideas?
